#Time Compression

This concept refers to the idea that as technological innovation occurs and its spread through society accelerates, the time available for society to fully understand the potential benefits and risks of that technology, and to implement countermeasures, becomes relatively shorter. This does not imply a physical acceleration of time, but rather an increased pressure on society's adaptive capacity. Consequently, society may be forced to accept the impacts of technology's negative aspects (societal blind spots) without adequate preparation.
