#Social Blind Spot
This refers to a state where society as a whole, especially policymakers and the general public, does not sufficiently recognize, discuss, and implement measures regarding the potential benefits and concurrent risks or negative aspects (ethical issues, widening disparities, impact on employment, etc.) that new technology brings. It is closely related to the concept of time compression, and as time compression progresses, social blind spots tend to expand and deepen. In the context of the blog, this blind spot is highlighted from diverse perspectives such as philosophy, AI, and cognitive science, and considerations for its resolution are developed.
